I'm 66 years old and I never have watched an entire inauguration, ever, usually because I would be at work. Usually I would just see a snippet of the swearing-in if anything.
I'm glad I watched all of this one.

Re: Sam's Club closed stores all over USA today
This is interesting news. Fortunately, the ones I shop at are not on the list. The Denton store is fairly new and they have already remodeled it.

It's a balmy 22 out in southern Wise. Definitely leaving the water dripping in my little country shack tonight.
Also tended to the neighbors' house today: made sure the heat was running and their pump house had heat. They were traveling back home and were stranded by icy roads.

Re: Good bye feral hogs
Good grief I hate these things. I hope it works but I have my doubts.
They are in every mountain bike trail I visit and they tear up all sorts of stuff. Many bike trails are in state parks and of course shooting them there is not a possibility.

For some reason, I can't get it and Dish customer support said it's not in my package.
I'm doing a trial subscription of Sling TV and am watching it now.

Re: State Championship game
I guess my $90 a month Dish subscription wasn't enough to get me the HP vs. Manvel game. The only reason I even have satellite is to watch the Rangers and stuff like this. Since baseball season ended, my TV has been on less than five times. This really hacks me off, and I'm about to join the thousan...

Re: State Championship game
I have Dish as a provider. The listings show that the HP vs. Manvel game is supposed to be on an alternate channel. I don't know if Direct TV has that sort of thing. The same goes for Wednesday's Mart vs. Refugio game, which I am looking forward to. Sometimes I can see stuff on the alternate channel...

Re: The perils of owning an Echo device
That was a good read. Internet-based devices and appliances are a big 'aw heck no' for me. That goes for doorbells, refrigerators, light bulbs, and the like. How about this sentence from the article: "The FBI, for one, would neither confirm nor deny wiretapping Amazon Echo devices when Gizmodo ...

Re: VPN for internet security
I agree with Steve. I don't feel like I need one at home for what I do.
Some pointless information: I block VPNs at the school because kids like to use them to get around our content filter. I guess they are handy for that.
