Re: Dallas stars...then and now.
And, really, I only looked at this because I thought it was about hockey. :D I thought the same thing until I saw that Zelda posted it, and I figured she has no idea who the Dallas Stars are. But I still didn't make the connection with the TV show. Ooops, sorry for the confusion. You are righ...

Re: Dallas stars...then and now.
I watched the first episode back in 78 (?), that was enough for me :D Linda Gray was through here a while back, plugging JR Bourbon. A few years back I was working in Rhode Island, and the subject of TV Shows set in Texas came up in conversion. They asked me which one was the most realistic, I told...

Re: Dallas stars...then and now.
It was incredibly popular here....all you glamorous Dallas folk with your annual oil barons ball.
Sue Ellen and Pammy were very beautiful, I loved everything about it..
The recent sequel fell flat though.

I don't know all the films mentioned, I will look out for them.
It must be an added thrill to watch "It's a wonderful life" knowing you have connections to where it was set, which looked like a magical place.
I missed it this year......it was on in the afternoon and no one told me.

I see the vile Perez Hilton has to get in on the act once more.
I can't believe he was a judge.
He was contestant on our 'Celebrity big brother' TV programme last year....he was truly vile.

Re: Run , hide , tell in case of terror attack in England
Zelda, I had a long post which somehow disappeared, so I'm sort of reposting it. The points I made were: A. Many of us have Mayhem on "ignore", because he is a rambling, nonsensical troll B. Saying that Mexico can't be compared to the U.S. is about like saying Manchester can't be compared...

Favourite Christmas film.
Sorry if it's been done before, but which film will you happily sit down to watch again and again over the Christmas period?
For me it has to be 'Its a wonderful life'....it's magical.

Zelda, Don't know you but I'm glad 'to meet you' and get to know a Brit cousin. It's Christmas (well ... almost) and I don't covet controversy, so I will foreswear. I will say that, as you can clearly see, there are wildly differing points of view re: guns, gun control, gun outa control, nra, and u...

I don't think he is known over here, I have never heard of him. I don't know how he usually performs, but he made an almighty cockup on this occasion. He could have made the situation better by actually speaking to the girls and explaining what had happened. As it was he totally ignored them and the...

One of my favorite old shotguns is a Thomas Newton of Manchester, circa 1895. Off had I can't think of a family member or friend that doesn't have multiple Firearms in their home, and about half have one on their person :) Until a few years ago a worked for an international company and we had this ...

No problem Red Oak, everyone is entitled to their opinions. :) I would never try to convince anyone here that our way is best.....just as anyone here could not persuade me that your way is. I am convinced though that if our law re gun ownership was the same as yours, we would have a hell of a lot m...
