Re: Non political thread

Okay, does anyone know what the most dangerous creature on Earth (based on humans killed). I'll give you the least dangerous...sharks at 5 people a year...and number 2...humans at 500,000 a year. So, what is number one? That is sort of non-political. Mosquitos? They carry lots of diseases. Yep...75...

Nope. But, we keep ours shaved. They stay indoors anyway. So, once every 4 months or so...off to the vet for a shave. It is about 60 dollars each and well worth it.

Re: Castle Doctrine

Yes, I have failed to welcome you and Mayhem. My apologies. My Dad served in the Navy. As kids we always rooted for Navy when they played Army. :) I think there may be a misunderstanding. There is only me, Castle Doctrine. Some of the kids were speculating that I was someone called Mayhem. I'm not....

Re: Castle Doctrine

Welcome aboard sir. There are a few others here that served in the Navy, including another retired LCDR. Hope you will do some posting. Thank you. I have to be honest. I was just a Pork Chop (Supply Corps). No great hero here...just a cog in the machine. But, damn it was fun...and LCDR is a great r...

Re: Melisas Sweetcakes destroyed as 'love wins'

hey 'cd' . Anyway , yeah , discrimination should be no problem in private business like a bake shop or a hotel or any private business . Plus a good point has been made by another poster concerning involuntary servitude that I agree with . Actually, I grew up in the 50s. I remember when what you ar...

Re: Melisas Sweetcakes destroyed as 'love wins'

I don't like personal attacks and usually refrain from them. They are just an admission that you don't have an argument. It is hard to avoid SOME form of argumentum ad hominem because there are so many forms thereof. But, I do try. I can be a smartass...but, that isn't belief based...it just is. Yo...

Re: Melisas Sweetcakes destroyed as 'love wins'

Re: Melisas Sweetcakes destroyed as 'love wins'

Someone asked about where the "gag order" came from. The ruling was in fact not from a court but from some body within the Bureau of Labor and Industries. But, it appears the ruling has the force of law coming from the designated governing administrative authority (BOLI). According to what...

Re: Melisas Sweetcakes destroyed as 'love wins'

Of course it's alright to discriminate. That's how we got all good jobs, good spouses, and good friends..by discriminating. I'm discriminating about everything I do..every day. Those are all LEGAL forms of permissible discrimination...the issue is illegal discrimination. I realize you are intention...

Mayhem=Castle Doctrine ? Hmmmm....... :) Definitely..same rambling "logic." Oh, I see. No I have never been to this site before today. As for the rambling logic...I find it impossible to respond meaningfully in the few coded words that work for RWers. I like to state my position and expla...

Re: Melisas Sweetcakes destroyed as 'love wins'

Laws restricting illegal immigration are to protect our country. This type of law in Oregon is designed to destroy it. I don't want to be one of the destroyers. Ah, that isn't exactly correct. Immigration laws serve a number of purposes. I don't actually think one of those is to protect our country...

Re: Melisas Sweetcakes destroyed as 'love wins'

Could I suggest that you look at both sides of a story BEFORE you hit "auto-outrage"? LOVE that term!!!! Yeah, my understanding too is that a gag order includes all parties. Me thinks the bakers are playing this for all they can get. Maybe they are hoping the professionally outraged will ...

Re: Melisas Sweetcakes destroyed as 'love wins'

and now the bake shops owners have a gag order on them to keep their mouths shut --- http://canadafreepress.com/article/73461 --- [repeat] I noticed that the right wing news was calling it a "gag order". It doesn't look like a "gag order" to me. They can individually state or di...
