Re: Speed limits in Ft Worth

Before we moved in, the neighborhood was full of kids (not so many here now).

A council member/later the mayor lived on the street. He got the speed limit lowered to 20 and it has remained that for all these years.

Re: Speed limits in Ft Worth

Our street has been 20 for the 30+ years we have lived here.
People totally ignore it.

Should gov't be able to hack into your computer?

I don't think so.........but Ever hear of Rule 41 of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure? Neither has practically anyone else, including Members of Congress. Unless Congress says "wait" before Dec. 1, it will grant federal law enforcement authorities sweeping new powers to remotely hac...

Re: TEXAS State Trooper shot , woumded by 'mexican'

My nephew, by marriage, is a Texas State Trooper, currently serving along the Rio Grande state border. I find NOTHING amusing in your post and find your humor at an officer getting shot disgusting. I don't care if it is a superficial wound, that is not the issue--these men put their life on the line...

Trivia for tonight

Great horned owls like to eat skunks.

Red tailed hawks also like to eat skunks.

It is believed these 2 birds do not have a strong sense of smell.

Yes, I'm old.
Yes, I'm not the demographic.
But, it is the old ones who watch local TV for news--young ones are getting the news from the cell phone.

Additionally, I think I have more disposable income than the people under age 50---but perhaps I'm fooling myself.

Re: Porcine picture

Wonder if I could use one to get a shot of the wild animal that is messing with mailboxes in my neighborhood? Yes. Trick is to get it positioned to make the action trigger the camera. We use ours to see what critters are hanging around the back of our property. Currently we have raccoons and possum...

De Niro, how do you really feel?

He’s a punk, he’s a dog, he’s a pig, he’s a con, a bullshit artist,” he adds. “A mutt who doesn’t know what he’s talking about, doesn’t do his homework, doesn’t care, thinks he’s gaming society, doesn’t pay his taxes.” De Niro also said he’d like to punch the brash businessman in the face. http://ww...
