Pigs are flying! Nearly all the Texas-Mexico border counties go red.

I am surprised this has not gotten more attention from the media. Of all the Texas counties that touch the Rio Grande all but two--Presidio and El Paso--voted for Trump. This includes Starr County (Rio Grande City), which is more than 97% Hispanic and probably nearly all the exceptions are federal e...

Re: Election night thread

It looks like GA and PA are about to be called for Trump, giving him 265. Add one vote each from NE and ME and Alaska's three--and he is virtually assured of them--and he has the presidency. No other swing state matters.

Trump won't carry Virginia but that had to be a tremendous shock for the Dems.

Re: StarLink - very good so far !

I live in a rural area that luckily has fiber optic, which is all I need. Most rural residents are not on a road that has the cable laid down. It is delivered by a cable in a trench and people tell me that is the way it has to be, but in rural north Mississippi where I grew up it comes in on the lig...

Fact check: firearms are not the leading cause of death among teens. According to the NIH unintentional injury deaths far outnumber homicides by any means in that age group.

Re: Idiot moderators

Vance got off to a bad start by wasting time introducing himself and talking of his family history. He should have just given a succint answer to the question about a pre-emptive strike on Iran--it would be reactive rather than pre-emptive after today's events--and then generously ceded his time to ...

Re: The worst thing that could happen to the Republican Party right now

How could anyone possibly think that if the Republicans can't win this election that they have any chance of winning one in the future?

Re: Trump now leads..

Trump still has time to turn things around but he does not seem to be trying. He knows he made a fool of himself in the debate with Kamala and is afraid to do a second one but that is his only hope to convince the undecided. In all probability Kamala will retract the offer to do a second one if she ...

The name Donna Brazille seems to ring a bell

The fact that the networks are a tool of the Democratic Party is self-evident, but they will have better sense than leave a paper trail of their collusion when hosting a debate.

Re: Frank Luntz predicts 45 will lose because of debate performance

And now he has announced he will not have another debate, which was his only hope of repairing the damage of the first. He is conceding the election and will spend the rest of his life pouting about how he was robbed. We will never have another Republican President.

Re: Tonight's event between Trump & Kamallah

This is very, very bad for the GOP. I predicted here all the way back in 2016 that the Republican Party would disappear as a national force at latest with the 2028 election due to the changing demographics of the country, and that only by spectacularly misplaying their hand would the Democrats not w...

Just in case there is still someone, somewhere that actually believes the "benefits of alcohol" canard

But the risk was accentuated primarily in those who ...

Re: A BRIDGE TOO FAR FOR THE REPUBLICANS?

This is going to be a much closer election than almost anyone seems to think at the moment, and win or lose this will be the last presidential race in which the Republican Party is a major force. I predicted here in 2016 that in that year and 2020 the GOP would be competitive, but in 2024 only if th...

Version 1: He had the assassin in his sights all along, but hadn't been give the order to take the assassin out. After the assassin started firing, he made the kill shot on the a...
