Re: Coffee
Yes, I love coffee I drink Starbucks: Verona, Sumatra (whatever is bold). Right now I'm enjoying the last our stash of "Christmas Blend". I have tried Seattle's best, the darkest roast, and liked it No No Hard to wake up without a cup of coffee in the morning; I have done it, however. Drin...

Re: Notable absences from Kevins' board
I check this board everyday as I did on the Dallas Digest before it's demise. I think I may have even posted more on this board than on the DD. The political threads don't bother me. It's an avenue to express your thoughts. I lean conservative, so if this were a group of ultra liberals I probably wo...

LL, good for you. Standards of journalism have declined...I think it was to appeal to the lowest common denominator, to keep ratings up from that crowd.

Knot, Thanks for sharing the news of Mason's birth. He's just precious! I'm sorry you all had to go through such an experience; however, it will make you appreciate all the deliveries to come when a healthy baby is born. So glad that Mason was born in hospital that could take care of him immediately...

guacamole I love the stuff. Do you have a good recipe? I mash about 2-3 softened avocados with about I/2 cup finely chopped red onions (add more onions if you choose). Add just a tad of lemon or lime juice then add salt and pepper to taste. Don't be afraid to add a lot of salt. Just a basic recipe.

If we are talking about the first time Neil Armstong walked on the moon ( A small step for man, a giant leap for mankind) I watched it with my father on our color tv, although the picture was in black and white and not real clear. At the time, I was a teenager and we lived in the Houston area. I rem...

Obama is at fundraisers tonight in NYC, does he care?
After a day like this, what's he doing at a fund raiser? Could the fund raiser be rescheduled? Would the guests donate the money anyway? I'm feeling pretty somber tonight after seeing the death total from the Malaysia jet crash, there are likely many American deaths, and the war escalate in the Midd...

The White House won’t reveal where it is housing thousands of Central American juvenile migrants because their privacy rights trump Americans’ right to know what‘s happening in their neighborhoods, press secretary Josh Earnest declared July 16. “The public does have a right to know what’s happening...

Knot, so happy for you. I'm not there yet, but will be so happy to be a grandmother. To have the perspective of seeing your own children grow up (and in your case you have much to be proud of) and then see it all happen again with a grandchild has to be the greatest joy one can experience. And being...
