Re: Here's an idea
The signs they are waving seem to be professionally made and there are enough of them for everyone. The tents that have been erected all seem to be new and of the same type. Were they all purchased by someone?

Re: Hey Mark - the Cadets are no more
I think that as the cost of a summer tour rises there will be more regional competitions to cut down on travel. One change that is already underway is fewer corps at each show and the show starts later to avoid late afternoon heat.

Hey Mark - the Cadets are no more
The Cadets drum and bugle corps has filed for bankruptcy and will cease operations permanently. While George Hopkins created some legal problems for them, the big blow is a lawsuit filed by a woman who claims she was assaulted by a staff member in 1982 when she was 16. The Cadets insurance carrier w...

From the pictures of Trump at a bodega in NYC. Trump drew more supporters than Joe. Trump's appearance at the bodega was genius, because it was the bodega where an ex-con was stabbed assaulting the store clerk. DA Bragg, the same DA Bragg, charged the clerk with murder but later dropped the charges...

The FBI will investigate whether any federal laws were broken to determine if there is any criminal culpability. Most likely, whether the ship got underway knowing that there were mechanical problems.

2024 Texas Rangers Baseball Thead
Last thread was started in 2019 so it's time to start a new one for the World Champion Texas Rangers. Let's start here: Sborz to the IL with rotator cuff strain. Burke to the IL after punching out a wall. Now Bradford to the IL with back soreness. Safe to say the pitching staff is suddenly a little ...

O.J. Simson dead
*Simpson* dammit!
Cancer got him.
At the time of his death he was surrounded by his children and grandchildren but the ex-wife was unavailable.

She doesn't need to be an expert on cicadas to know that their emergence is cyclical and predictable, just like eclipses. It's been talked about in the news, just like the eclipse.

Funny show. If memory serves, the first time I saw it I was staying at a motel in beautiful Orange, Texas, and it came on late. Lots of talent on that show that went on to bigger things.

Re: Biden is wishing you..
Jill and I send our warmest wishes to Christians around the world celebrating Easter Sunday. Easter reminds us of the power of hope and the promise of Christ’s Resurrection. As we gather with loved ones, we remember Jesus’ sacrifice. We pray for one another and cherish the blessing of the dawn of ne...

I'm no fan of Whispering Joe, but International Transgender Day of Visibility has been observed on March 31 since 2009. Next year Easter Sunday falls on April 20.

My knee jerk reaction - I think this will have a small impact on the supply chain, but Whispering Joe now has a convenient excuse for any poor inflation numbers between now and November.

Re: Baltimore bridge collapsed
If you look closely in the video you can see a man standing on the bridge holding an umbrella. As the ship approaches the bridge the man opens the umbrella even though it is not raining.
