I haven't seen Hog Head Cheese sold in years. It was sometimes called Souse.
I don't really miss it, but I've eaten sandwiches made with it that weren't bad.

Re: Food they don't sell anymore
My wife and I really like sweetbreads and have about 20# in the freezer. With all the situations we have been handling for the last 6 months or so we have not cooked any. Maybe some time in the next few weeks. Is this the kind of sweetbreads you're talking about? Sweetbreads or ris are culinary nam...

Maybe Ben Carson sewed a whale up in his belly, for therapeutic purposes.

Re: NATIONAL ENQUIRER rips Ben Carson
Maybe one. It depends on the nature of what he did. One of the claims is that he sewed up a sponge in a child's brain. By that standard, Michael DeBakey, Denton Cooley, and several doctors at the hospital where I work are quacks. As for it depending on "the nature" - if we all agreed on w...

Re: NATIONAL ENQUIRER rips Ben Carson
Regardless of his compentency, the problem I have with him is someone who wants to jump from one profession into something completely different. And wants to START at the very top. The only other doctor I can think of that ever ran for president was Ron Paul. But, Paul put in over 20 years in the c...

Re: NATIONAL ENQUIRER rips Ben Carson
Carson's career as a neurosurgeon does not in itself qualify him to be president. Likewise, a malpractice suit does not in itself disqualify him. It does in the minds of a lot of people. If Carson was a short order cook at McDonald's, he'd be polling less than 1%. The people that make up his...

Re: NATIONAL ENQUIRER rips Ben Carson
If this was true, I think it would have come out a long time ago and not by the National Enquirer. The same thing could have been said about the Enquirer exposing John Edwards. People in Edwards' campaign were telling the story. Every media outlet other than the NE ignored it. They kept ignoring it...

Re: NATIONAL ENQUIRER rips Ben Carson
If the National Enquirer ripped me I'd wear it as a badge of honor. It's a gossip rag for goodness sakes. I also wonder how much money they were paid to write and run the article. As I said- ask John Edwards about the National Enquirer. They ripped him. Ask him if he wears it as a badge of honor. Y...

NATIONAL ENQUIRER rips Ben Carson
The NATIONAL ENQUIRER has published an article claiming that Ben Carson was an incompetent butcher as a surgeon. It details several malpractice cases brought against him and interviews several of his victims. I thought we may have been hasty declaring him as a brilliant neurosurgeon without knowing ...

The road to hell is paved with the common good. Ask the 100,000,000 souls that dies under Stalin and Mao.

that's just an opinion Steve . To me TRUMP seems like a normal guy with his own set of standards that don't bend due to people disagreeing with him . Churchill was similar I think . Same for Reagan and Margaret Thatcher . All 3 that I mention where laughed at , derided , hated until others finally ...

Re: Ben Carson getting better on guns
You think Mitt Romney gave much thought to it?..how about GHW Bush..how about Bob Dole or Nixon or Gerald Ford. Maybe they had a bit..but I don't remember the 2nd amendment being on these people's radar. I don't remember it being an issue during Nixon and Ford's time. Romney and G.W. Bush? You bet ...

Party Albums
Does anyone remember the party albums of the 1950s and 1960s?
I'm thinking of Brother Dave Gardner and Rusty Warren's records.
Red Foxx had some, too, but I never listened to him.

Re: Ben Carson getting better on guns
Beware of anyone getting "better" on an issue. It means he's been told to change his position if he wants to get elected. Not necessarily. There are plenty of Americans that have never given any thought to something like the 2nd Amendment. In my case, I never even thought about owning a g...
