Re: The IRS lost Lois Learner's emails when her computer

From AccountingToday.com "However, Lerner’s computer crashed in mid-2011 and at the time IT professionals at the IRS tried to recover her files multiple times, but ultimately deemed the files to be unrecoverable. In response to the committee request, the IRS said it had searched through other s...

Re: Shhh... It's a secret

Would any organization want the guy in the mail room, or some other unrelated function, discussing RRC policy with the press? The RRC has an abundance of factual and policy information available to the public, via its' website, etc. Those folks with some sort of agenda will always throw rocks until...

Re: Double yolked eggs

I'm not a farm boy, but my grandmother raised chickens and I used to love to help her gather eggs. Wasn't there a superstition about getting a double yolk? Good luck, or something like that, I can't remember.

I think he actually showed admiral restraint. I can thank of a lot more "salty" names than that, that would also been appropriate.

Re: Catfish restaurant in north Dallas area

The best I've ever had was in North Little Rock AR. Its an old ferry boat converted to a floating Joint. It was great!! You triggered a memory of mine. Back in the '90's, I used to audit a truck line headquartered in Batesville, AR. I used to schedule my flight into Little Rock, so as to make sure ...

Re: Catfish restaurant in north Dallas area

Pricey, but Pappadeaux's has good catfish (IMO).

Aw Shucks (Lower Greenville) and Big Shucks (E Mockingbird) aren't too bad.

Hook, Line & Sinker is pretty good too, I would rate them with Aw Shucks and Big Shucks.

My all time favorite is "The Fish Fry" in Paris, TX

Re: Any Father's Day Memories to share?

I lost my Dad in 2007 (age 82). He didn't have much "schoolin", as he used to say, but he had a knack of getting the important things right. We weren't "buddies", as I perceived some father/sons to be, but I never doubted he loved me, and he was always there for me. I miss you Dad.

Thanks for posting.

He really seems to be at peace with everything; sort of like saying "this is who I am, this is what I do, and I'm OK with that".

If the product is good, I don't care who plays him, I'll go see it. I wonder if Hank Williams, Jr. is involved somehow?

Sounds like he taught her how to shake down a TV network. Get elected. Do a bunch of political favors, and get paid for them after you leave office.

To roll out that load of manure, they must really be desperate to protect someone. The only thing left now is to claim her dog ate them.

Re: Birthday guy

Thanks everyone. I'm in Galveston attending a CPE convention, so celebration will have to wait until I get home this weekend. I do plan on treating myself to a decent meal somewhere though, somewhere I can also watch the Spurs/Heat game. They do play tonight again don't they? If not, I still plan on...

Re: Spurs win; Rangers lose

The Spurs are looking good, but I doubt if they will be able to shoot 76% again like they did the first half. So, it looks pretty even right now. But, I'm still on track with picking the Heat to take it. +1 if it goes to 7 again, the Spurs are toast. I don't think that LeBron is beatable in a game ...
