Probably my favorite channel. Problem is I'm running out of old movies I've not seen before.

Why would anyone set out to intentionally offend others? Just shows what a jerk the offender is.

Re: Why TV Networks Are Cutting Back on Commercials

If you think TV networks are cutting back on commercials then you haven't been watching much TV!! About 80% of my TV anymore is what I have recorded on the DVR. I hate commercials. Most are written for the intelligence level of a 12 year old. Way to many are just stupid. Agree. I still watch some n...

Re: Texas judge shot last night in Austin

Austin has become a cesspool. "Keep Austin weird" is a hollow joke these days. Nothing fun and weird about greed and corruption.

In my fantasy world my whole family would leave. Sadly, that won't/can't happen.

Re: Why TV Networks Are Cutting Back on Commercials

I've noticed now fewer or shorter commercials.............but at least we are paying for all those channels that were originally intended to be commercial free. :? :? :? We are also now seeing "product placement" regularly in shows. I had a trial with Sirius with my new car. UH, it now has...

Re: Texas judge shot last night in Austin

And I once thought of Austin as an almost mythically wonderful town. This that I read here is so troubling. San Francisco is having the same problems only worse. Won't be too long before 7 and 13 figure incomes will no longer abide those of us who limp along on a mere six figures. And the 7 figures...

Re: Texas judge shot last night in Austin

You are so right about Austin's issues and the causes, John. I have tried, several times, looking up how many native Austinites serve on the city council. Of course that information is not available. Yep, Mom has a homestead and a senior exemption but those don't prevent property taxes being raised ...

Re: Texas judge shot last night in Austin

There is no way you can understand my Mom's situation but suffice to say we are doing all we can to keep her in that house because it's the only way my Mom can retain her independence, her ties to her church - which is the center of her life, her friends, her nearly 65 year history with my deceased ...

Re: Texas judge shot last night in Austin

Your comments prove that your attitude about others, and the responsibility God gave us toward them, is diametrically opposed to mine. Though I believe you are absolutely wrong I recognize that you have a right to your opinion.

Re: Texas judge shot last night in Austin

We love it when people tear down older houses here to build bigger, newer homes. It does wonders for ALL of our property values. I'm guessing "historic neighborhoods" means..neighborhoods that desperately need some upgrading. Because if they were actually "historic" in a sense o...

Re: Texas judge shot last night in Austin

I certainly wouldn't call it moving up. I'd call it ruining historic neighborhoods in a concerted effort to prove you have more money than your neighbors by building insanely expensive, huge, and ugly houses that don't fit with the original houses in the neighborhood. BTW, the judge must be in one o...

Yeah I thought about that too. I do think there were more people than one but with the rapidity and consistent spacing of the fire it was hard to believe it came from more than one gun. However I know as little about guns as possible.

I saw a portion of what I assume was the opening bit. Really lame. I couldn't stand to watch it all the way through. Too painfully bad. None of those folks seemed to be professional actors/comedians/whatever. And it's almost impossible to understand Trump's wife. Neither Trump nor his wife was in t...

Re: Blue bell ice cream

With an eye toward my upcoming dental surgery (ugggggggggggggggggggggggggg) I bought a 1/2 gal. of homemade vanilla and a pint of some brand of chocolate gelato. The gelato was the same price as the Blue Bell. And this spell check doesn't have "gelato". It wants to spell it "g...
