Re: This Jared Fogel Pervert

The thing that makes me avoid Subway is that they've gone halal in many locations.

As for Jared, he's just another common creep who over-extended his 15 minutes of fame and needs to go away for the rest of his life.

Re: headline reads , live baby killed for parts

Again a totally false headline! Random chemo-electrical reaction will continue in the body after death. No one killed a live baby for parts. If they do not use digoxin prior to the procedure to kill the baby, then it is likely still alive when removed from the mother. We don't know the age of the b...

Riddle me this...

Long story, but we had a massive surge of power go through the house and it took out numerous things, but there's no rhyme or reason as to why some things blew and some things didn't. To wit, on one power strip I have a laptop, monitor, desk lamp, radio, extension cord with iphone and another laptop...

Re: A question for the ladies

I wore gloves with a dress until I was about 7, I guess. After that, it was just for special Sundays, like Easter, or visiting relatives out of town. When I lived in L.A., I had a very nice pair of kidskin driving gloves that I wore frequently to keep my hands from getting too freckled. Now it's jus...

Re: Who won?

The mistake you're making is thinking that the debates matter. The pundits have a lot to talk about today..that's about it. I think they do matter. Rick Perry was sent to oblivion in 2012 by his debate brain lock. He had been the front runner. He never came back. Fred Thompson was ruined as front r...

Agreed.... there's some car commercial with the small black dog and the helium voice. It's just awful.

well good , course the exceptions for a mothers health have been around since the mid 60s and that was in a Catholic Hospital . And was up to the mother , don't know about the rapes or incest . Course , I think that 'jimi' has always been pro abortion . Reason I posted his thinking is that he might...

Re: Anyone still get the newspaper

I read somewhere today that the DMN is having a large employee buyout. Steve Blow was one of the names mentioned. There was a time when I would have been very disappointed to hear that, but not anymore. To be clear, I'm sad about the DMN dwindling but not about Blow taking the departure package.

Kerosene clothes dryer

Well, no. Not really. But it smells that way. We bought a new stackable W/D about 2 1/2 years ago when we moved into another house. I don't know when I first noticed it, but from time to time, I would smell kerosene whenever the dryer was on, and sometimes the clothes came out smelling like kerosene...

I don't think self-mutilation excuses anyone from any criminal justice or civil justice recourse. If there's a case, it will go forward regardless of any dangling parts or lack thereof.

Yeah, I can vouch for the Modern. Don't care for most of the artwork (I'm more of an Impressionist fan than Modern) but the food is good and the atmosphere is nice. The only other places I've been in Ft. Worth are a restaurant right across the street from the Kimball that was buffet style (salad ma...

Flying Fish - Montgomery and Vickery, across from Railhead - good fish, good salads. Really good hushpuppies! Ever try Montgomery Street Cafe? Montgomery across from that machine shop, right about where that road work is going on. Love it for breakfast. For lunch I'll grab a BLT and you'd swear your...

Who's the girl who wags her finger and says "nobody beats our deals.... nobody." Irritating. Do.Not.Point.At.Me. She used to wear jeans or something k-mart casual... now she wears party dresses and looks like she's headed for a quincinera. It's just weird. And the pointing is irritating. A...

Rachel Dolezal

I thought her 15 minutes were up, but VF has renewed that contract. From the Vanity Fair interview: "And yet, Dolezal’s claim on black womanhood still seems to be non-negotiable. Even in conversation with an actual black woman on the other end of the line or sitting in her cozy home, Dolezal un...
