PGA on TV

Postby LibraryLady » Sat Aug 09, 2014 1:40 pm

Listening to my husband rant........"Tiger didn't make the cut, but all the announcers want to do is talk about Tiger and show old footage of Tiger."

Seriously, he does get too much attention for a player who is over the hill but refuses to acknowledge it.

I will never understand how someone could be entertained by watching golf on TV.

People who enjoy watching paint dry or watching grass grow enjoy it.

I agree with both of you....I put baseball in the same group.
Obviously others feel differently.

I'm not a baseball fan, but at least SOMETHING happens sooner or later.

The way the TV guys shoot the action doesn't help. They should try to make the show like being there, and that means camping out at a couple of strategic holes and watching the action go passed like a parade. Now it's like, whack, pick up tee and, "Let's go to Harry at the sixth hole."

.

TV golf certainly qualifies as boring but when they turned it into Tiger Woods and a bunch of other golfers, I totally gave up. At least now it's somewhat interesting as you get to see the other touring pros.
43 cars running in circle, ala NASCAR. does nothing for me. Especially with the apparent reemergence of their red headed poster child dimDale Earnhardt, the Tiger Woods of NASCAR.

TV ratings for golf have gone way down since Tiger is hardly ever on anymore.

Golf
NASCAR
Tennis

All are a total waste of time on TV. Three of the most boring things ever televised.

Do not give a damn about Tiger. I do like to watch golf from time to time. BUT don't diss NASCAR! It's changed a bunch over the years, some good, a lot bad in my opinion. Dale Jr though has come up the ladder and is one of the best. He is slowly evolving to be as good or better than his Dad. Still young and going to be a champion sooner than later. What is your take on NHRA Racing?

More explosions than NASCAR, ergo better.
