To LibraryLady with love

Postby Sangersteve » Wed Aug 20, 2014 10:04 pm

I thought this was going to be a thread where you ripped into the members who were name calling on that other thread.

I thought this deserved a thread of it's own.

Sometimes I believe that a bit of harsh language and venting is valuable. You can talk to someone for hours about how 2+2=4, and they will still insist it's 7 or 5 or 3. At some point you either give up, always the wrong approach if the facts are on your side, or you can pop them on the side of the head and say "Listen up pilgrim you're an idiot" .

I have found that when dealing with unreasonable arguments a wake up call is justified.

I am not a fan of using salty talk in normal conversation, but in times when you need to make a point, it works.

I have in reserve a perfect phrase that I have yet to use, but will when the situation insists.
