He just can't be that old

Postby glenn/dallas » Sat May 11, 2019 11:58 pm

I got my monthy AARP magazine today, and when I opened it to the back page I got a shock. I'm old (74) I know Cokes do not cost a dime now, I know a gallon of gas isn't 35 cents a gallon now, I even know Doctors do not make house calls, yes they did in the 40's and early 50's. But as a lover of music, including country I was shocked to see that Hank Williams Jr. is days from being 70. Blows my mind, everyone is getting older. I better pay better attention.

Ain't that the truth.
What gets me is nieces and nephews that I think of as kids are 50 years old. Not to mention my Dad would be over 100 years old if he were still alive.

70 is the new 60. People are living longer. I have an uncle that turns 90 in August!

My goal is to hit 85. I think that's about as far as you can go and still be enjoying it. I have an uncle that is going to be 90 this Aug. We're having a reunion of cousins there in Kansas the day after.

How can David Gold's son be old enough to graduate from college? I remember when David wasn't even married...

Twenty two or so years goes by faster than you blink, metaphorically speaking
