Steve- Bean recipe?

Postby BillB » Sun Aug 31, 2014 7:05 am

Hey, Steve.
I lost your pinto bean recipe from the old board. I want to make a pot today.
Can you give it here?
Thanks

Need to figure out a way to pin the DD cookbook to this place, there are some great recipes in there.

I even left the part about waiting until the last 30 minutes to salt the beans.

Coincidence.......I looked it up this week to share with my son.

It is on this board, if you do a search for beans.

from experience,
this bean recipe is the greatest.

I receive many requests to bring the beans. . .
I always offer recipe and give credit to a Texas blogging friend.

i won $300 one time for turning in a cup of these beans.... for just a $10 entry fee..... came in second to ryanass last time i cooked them.

very important to not add anything else, especially salt, until done. just salt to taste.
salting early will make the skin tough and will take forever to soften. by the time they soften your beans are mush
