It's a real hike from the plane to the baggage area. I've seen people looking for a bench to rest up for a minute or two. I usually come in about 10 pm and there are no "carts" to get elderly people to the baggage claim area. On one trip, a young man from Providence sat on the aisle seat and I was the window seat. In Little Rock, an elderly lady got on and sat between us. It wasn't a smooth flight. The young man and I were watching "flight alert" on our iPads. The lady was pretty nervous because the flight attendants could only give water. It was rough. The young man and I kept her entertained. I'd asked the flight attendant if she could have a wheel chair waiting for her. Well, it wasn't at the gate. So, the young man and I walked with her, carrying her bag. Bless her heart, she did make it and thanked us for keeping her entertained. She brought her daughter over to meet us at baggage claim. They really need to have a couple carts available at that time of night.
