I thought I was cured, I fought the urges and was making great progress. Two days ago I slipped a little.
The window A/C unit in our office died, RIP it was 11 years old. I kicked away my needs and went to buy a new unit.
Got the new one installed and the monster grabbed me.
I had to take the old one apart to find the problem. Found the issue and darn near invested in the broken part.
I recovered my sanity before investing in a part to repair the old one, Now if I can just find the strength not to strip it of parts before getting rid of it.

Battling my addiction
It's a joke son,I say a joke
Re: Battling my addiction
I feel your pain.
I made the decision to replace my riding mower last year instead of continuing to fix it. Because its supposed to be about mowing the yard, not fixing the mower.
Offered the old one to the maid's husband. I was fixing it as he was on his way to pick it up. Had it running great and all cleaned up for him when he got there.
If you don't have a sponsor yet, feel free to drop me a line. Maybe we can get a group started.

I love taking stuff like that apart.
However, in the process, I usually destroy some important thingamabobby that renders the parts worthless....
