WASHINGTON — U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle has stepped down after widespread calls from lawmakers for her to resign following the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump, three sources told NBC News.

This seemed inevitable but she was so defiant at the hearing Monday I wonder if the Harris people had to force her out because Joe and Jill weren't going to do anything.
