Longtime political strategist James Carville has issued a warning for President Donald Trump, predicting that his administration is on the verge of a major collapse in public support.
Carville stated that within the next month, Trump’s standing with voters will plummet, leaving his presidency in turmoil.
Speaking with Mediaite’s Dan Abrams, Carville pointed to recent polling data as evidence of this downward trend.
A poll found that support for Trump among voters under the age of 30 dropped from 50 per cent to 39 per cent in just two weeks. He added that these numbers signal a significant shift in public perception.

“We’re in the midst of a collapse,” Carville stated, adding that multiple polls now show Trump’s approval rating at historic lows for a president at this stage of a term.

Inflation concerns have also played a major role in eroding confidence, with many voters disapproving of Trump’s economic policies — once considered his strong suit.

Carville went so far as to claim that no president in modern history has experienced such a drastic decline in approval ratings at this point in their presidency. He advised Democrats to remain patient and allow public discontent to grow, suggesting they should “play possum” and let the situation unfold on its own.
