The most important thing I've learned this week
First a confession
I'm not a fan of fast food
Except for one I have a weakness for
Jack in the box tacos
Running the roads fixing stuff, the best food on the run Jack tacos
Cheap and not messy
I found out this week you can
Order them without that crappy lettuce.
That's it that's all I've got

It's a joke son,I say a joke

I'd try it but there's not one in Fort Collins. Strange for a college town.
Closest one is in Greeley about 15 miles from here.

While looking, I ran across this one that looks pretty good. I'll give it a try when the weather warms up a bit.

I always ask for no lettuce on my tacos, no matter where I get them.

I must admit..I love fast food.
Try not to make a habit of it any more.
But yes, the Jack in the Box tacos are very good…lettuce and all!

I saw that Taco Bell has revised their menu again. Now they have taco with a shell made out of cheese.

I just wish JIB would keep the Monster Tacos on the menu. Now, it's just a once in a great while thing.

I love JiB tacos. Even though they’re not really Tex-Mex tacos. They’re kind of their own thing.
Taco Bell sucks to high heaven.
Taco Bueno is okay.
Taco Casa isn’t bad.

The little mini taco box with the green sauce is pretty darn good as well
Usually only breakfast I will eat out while on the road. Supreme croissant & a taco is the best!

Well, snarf down as many as you can now. You probably won't get tacos in "the home". If you do they will be crappy.

Re: The most important thing I've learned this week
Today's Taco Bell sucks. It doesn't even compare to the Taco Bell of 40-50 years ago.
One of my buddies worked at the Taco Bell in Greenville when he was a teenager. His mom was the manager. He tells me about how they used to brown their own meat, chop their own tomatoes, tomatoes, and onions, grated their own cheese, and even boil their own beans every day. Everything was fresh.
Everything at Taco Bell today comes out of a plastic bag. The stuff they call meat is horrific. I don't believe I've set foot in a Taco Bell in at least 10 years.
The closest thing today to the Taco Bell of old is Taco Casa. The closest Taco Casa to me is 20 miles away, so I don't get it very often. If you're in Tyler or Longview, Juicy's Taco is identical to Taco Casa.
The last few months, I've been on the road a lot more than I'd like to be. I've been forced to eat lunch on the road virtually every day. My two staples are Whataburger and Chick-Fil-A. Every Whataburger receipt I've received since October has had a survey on it that includes a free burger on the next visit with the purchase of fries and a drink. That's made the final price of my number 4 combo about 7-8 bucks instead of the normal 11 or 12. As long as they keep giving me those surveys, I'll continue to eat there 2-3 times per week.
The Chick-Fil-A app allows me to walk into the restaurant, sit down at a table, and then order on my phone. Somebody then brings my food to my table. Every other fast food joint should take lessons. I always get the spicy sandwich combo.
The shittiest boyfriend my daughter had in college was a huge fan of Jack-in-the-Box. That's probably the reason I haven't set foot in a JIB since she shit-canned him 13 years ago. That, and the fact that Whataburger does burgers better.

The best fast food burgers these days are from Culver's (I like their fried cheese curds, too). Taco Casa is the king of fast food tacos.

I tried them in a pinch about a month or so ago. They still suck. When they first started they were great. Not anymore. But if you like them.......

I'll have to try Culver's if they have one close by.
Just looked. Nothing in Arlington.
My go to is still What-A-Burger. but since they sold out to BDT CApitol out of Chicago things will probably continue to change. They already have somewhat. Once you have investment companies involved in restaurants, things go downhill very fast,
So much for big corps. All they do is screw things up.
