While the Army seems to be enjoying record recruitment numbers, let's see how many of the recruits actually fulfill their contracts.
I'll post the article but it's long. Basically it says that since 2022 the attrition rate in first enlistment is near 25%. Let's see if that changes (down OR up) with this new crop of recruits.

Without researching it, I have to think that they are being misinformed (lied to) when they enlist. But, that has probably always been true to some extent.

According to the article, a lot of recruits are coming in with waivers for education or physical deficits. Basically they've been signing up people who do not meet minimum requirements.
