Finally, we've got a challenger for that worthless piece of shit John Cornyn. Cornyn is as establishment as they come, and Texas deserves better representation in the Senate. Go Ken Paxton!
The 16th and 17th Amendments have both been horrible for this nation, and both should be repealed. Without the 17th Amendment, pieces of shit like John Cornyn would never sniff the US Senate.
Finally!

I don't necessarily disagree with you on that, but good luck trying to repeal either one of them. I believe the selection of senators could have been reformed without an amendment. As it was, state legislative selection was seen, and rightfully so in some cases, as corrupt & subject to special interest influences and deadlocks. Both amendments were popular at the time, but unforseen consequences since then have tempered that.

The people already had representation in the House. The Senate was created by the founders to represent the states. For the past 112 years, the states have had no representation in Congress.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but aren't the states composed of people the same as the Senate?

Re: Finally!
Yes, but as it was explained to me eons & eons ago, the Senate was like the UN, the senators were ambassadors of the states.
Something I don't get is why, with the exception of Nebraska, are state legislatures bicameral?

The nation is comprised of States. The States are comprised of the people. That's the way the system was set up, anyway.

Great news!

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is leading Republican Sen. John Cornyn by double digits in the 2026 Texas Senate race, according to a recent Republican primary poll.
Paxton is ahead of Cornyn by 16 percentage points — 56% to 40% — in a two-way poll commissioned by the Senate Leadership Fund (SLF), Punchbowl News first reported on Monday. Meanwhile, in a hypothetical three-way matchup with Republican Texas Rep. Wesley Hunt, who is reportedly considering entering the primary contest, Paxton notched 44% of the vote to Cornyn’s 34% and Hunt’s 19%.

I know most Texas voters are kind of dumb. But is anyone really dumb enough to elect Paxton to any upcoming general election?
Aside from being a crook, a liar, an adulterer, or a general prick, what are his good points?

He's not a beta Beto.
Re: Finally!
We know Paxton is perfect because the cocksuckers on the evil Left hate his guts.
The Left doesn't hate Cornyn, because he is one of them.
