Bedrock Conservative.

Postby grouchy » Tue Dec 16, 2014 9:41 am

A few days ago BigTex and GfB made some comments about bedrock conservatives and how we need one to step up to the plate. I basically agree, but I got to thinking about it and wondering how it should be defined.

Let's see what each feels. Lots of things fit in but I will start with three. Balance the budget, change our tax code, secure our border. Your thoughts?

Pass legislation to require that we balance the budget and pay off the debt
Abolish the FED that caused us to be 18 trillion in debt
Reinstate the gold standard and ban fiat money so it can never happen again
I don't think the end is near anymore. :D I think it's HERE! :o

End food stamps and welfare. These tasks are handled far better by private charities.

Earmarks don't increase spending. All they do is specify how previously appropriated money will be spent.

If a politician asks for money to be spent in their district they should have to vote for that piece of legislation.

I thought I saw a Goldrocker bumper sticker on Mr Slate's car.
I feel like I'm parked diagonally in a parallel universe.

I do it at the ballot box.

Even if I support the persons positions. Career politicians are the reason we owe trillions of dollars.

True, but if we are going to really be successful at booting their butts out it will require term limits.
