2014..another great year for investors!

"Party on, stock investors! The good times on Wall Street continued through 2014 as the economy gained momentum.

That party was highlighted by the Dow hitting a new milestone this week, topping the 18,000 threshold for the first time ever. The index is now up about 9% this year.

The Nasdaq and S&P 500 have enjoyed even bigger gains, rallying about 14.5% and 13%, respectively."

What is nutty is thinking a 9% increase in the stock market during a year of 9% inflation means you gained anything.

But no one that's sane believes that inflation rate..it's strictly for freakazoids.

9% is the average rate as the CPI was calculated originally. The currrent CPI excludes food and energy. So, if you don't eat, heat or cool your house, or drive an auto, and never travel by rail, bus or plane, it is probably more correct.

You're making all of that up because it fits your narrative.

Check the latest info..when food and energy are added..inflation goes even LOWER.

If you're going to live in a dream world, you might at least make it an upbeat one.
