Now at 185, down 30 pounds since last September.

I credit it to diet modification and slaving away on the compound and the Owl Hoot.

I was diagnosed with diabetes last Feb. I weighed 190 lbs.
The doctor put me on a diet to keep my blood sugar low. She told me to stay on it. I have.
She also told me to exercise 30 minutes a day. I do.
I went to my follow up on May 28.
She raved about how well I had done. Blood sugar history looked like a person without diabetes.
I had lost about 50 lbs. I hadn't intended to- hadn't tried to- it was just the diet and exercise.

The doctor told me to STOP losing weight.

"Do you want me to stay on the diet?"
"Yes"
"Do you want me to continue exercising 30 minutes a day?"
"Yes"

I'm still trying to figure out what she wants me to do to stop losing. She didn't have any suggestions.

They don't recommend exercise for weight loss anymore. The additional food that you eat when you exercise cancels out the weight that you loose. And any you loose you will gain back as soon as you stop exercising. At least that's my experience.

Yeah well, if people would stick to the eat less part of the equation it would probably work. But don't take my word for it because I don't adhere to either one of Dr. Laura's recommendations. :(

My next goal is being able to do one handed push-ups - we will see how that goes ;)
