I'm probably too cynical, but I don't think an 11 year old boy came up with doing that by himself.
I think the father staged it and put him up to it.
The father should be made to stand at attention for an hour and a half.
There will probably be a book.

I tried to watch and was unable to see it. Googled it and tried two other connections and failed to get it to play.

Thank you, Bill. I was sitting here berating myself for being such a cynic. The whole thing looked staged to me. Media came? A trumpeter just showed up? The era of the internet, Photoshop, green screens, flash mobs, and other manipulations of reality has made cynics of many of us........or, in my case, has made me more cynical than I was before. :)
Working to love my fellow person regardless : >

I think it is obvious that the parents played a role in this.
However, it said it began with a school assignment. I know some kids who get totally immersed in a particular thing. I could see a kid wanting to create the uniform and visit and all his father needed was a little encouragement to fulfill the father's dreams........

Geez, with the thousands of grandchildren of the soldiers who landed on D Day that have heard the stories, seen the pictures, looked at the graves, I'll give this 11 year old the credit he earned(parents involvement or not). I'll give this boy my salute anyday. Sometimes its just right to take things at face value.
