An overnight police chase that began in Garland ended in Dallas’ High Five when a motorcyclist crashed while fleeing from officers.
The chase began about 1:30 a.m. when police tried to pull over a road rage suspect who was driving a blue and white sports bike. The man fled west before turning around in downtown Dallas and heading back east on Interstate 30.
The biker then turned north on LBJ Freeway at speeds topping 100 mph before he lost control and crashed while trying to turn south at the High Five interchange. Police found the 32-year-old lying on the ramp to Central Expressway with serious injuries, including cuts and road rash.
The man, who was not identified, was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital for treatment.
