Unintended consquences - Poleecs Shootings

Postby Red Oak » Fri Apr 17, 2015 1:13 pm

Most Police have had their Saps, Sticks, & Batons taken away; and now have Pepper Spray, Tasers, and Fire Arms, thereby they have fewer choices in a physical confrontation and resort to the Fire Arm where impact weapon could have been used in the past.

I wish Roders was around to give us his insight.

Had to look up SAPS..we used to call those "blackjacks."

I like clubs first for an unarmed criminal then the guns as backup . All the gear on the belt can make people forget what they are grabbing as seen recently by that old reserve cop !!

It's not hard to blackjack a man to death or kill him with the blunt trauma of a nightstick.
Taser deaths are rare.
I'm guessing the fear of lawsuits got rid of the clubs.
I would like to hear a policeman comment on it.

No it is not hard to kill someone with a Club. Breaking and arm or a leg might be easier to justify than shooting some one.
