Benbrook girl found

Postby crocmommy » Wed May 27, 2015 10:00 am

Anyone else following this story? There must be more going on because the family's story does not make sense. What doyou think? I only copied a small story. There is more information out there that I have seen.

BENBROOK — Nine-year-old Caitlyn Williams, missing since Friday, was found safe in Bossier City, Louisiana on Tuesday, according to the Benbrook Police Department.

The suspect in the case and Caitlyn's uncle, Jessie Nicholas Williams, was killed in a struggle with authorities.

An FBI task force member was shot in the leg during the incident, but he is expected to recover, a Benbrook police spokesman said. The federal agency confirmed to News 8 that tips led agents to the Louisiana motel. They had been tracking his cell phone and credit card activities.

It was not clear whether Williams had a weapon when he was killed, and the FBI has not yet said how he died.

Read the story this AM.
Sounds like the family was clueless about what the uncle was up to--and silly girl was not really kidnapped, IMO, but was a willing participant to take a trip with the uncle.

It also sounds like the uncle was killed before he was able to fulfill his desires. --I'm assuming his desires involved sexual activity with his 11 year old niece.

I thought the girl was 9 not 11. Not that it makes that much difference. He could have already done plenty to her. Who knows...this may have been on ongoing thing.

I'm not sure what was going on with the family not checking on her until Monday. You don't send a child of any age off on a Friday and don't check up on their whereabouts with the parents until Monday morning? They just assumed that she couldn't get home because of the rain? The whole thing smells...

I misread--she is only 9.

Like you, CM, the parents are not doing their job if they sent a 9 year old off and didn't know where she was/check on her for the entire weekend.

I would guess CPS will be looking at the family situation......

My mom and I are suspecting some pretty dark stuff may be going on. The family just moved down here.

I agree. Have been following it closely. Prayers for the girl. I don't know about if the rest of the family merits them

I, for one, am not smart enough to be critical of the family until I know more. I cannot say anything negative about the 9 year old, she is NINE. The Uncle, who was a nut, he must have been to take a child away like he did. Dont know about his intentions, but we are all probably better off he is now gone from society, in which , he did not fit in.

The uncle had rented a car in advance before he ever went to pick up the girl. He had something in mind, I'm thinking.
