The longer this board exists the more spam will be posted here.
It'll get to be 40 or 50 spam posts a day- or more.
I commend Steve for taking on the job. I wouldn't want it and wouldn't have time for it on a daily basis.

I hope Sanger continues to control membership on an individual case basis rather than making it difficult for new members to join. Discussion boards wither and die without new blood. I wish some of the lurkers would join and chime in with their opinions.

Wouldn't it be better to delete the whole thread and not just the spammer's post?

I don't look at the threads, I just check the latest sign up against know spam I.P.'s and ban them by I.P. then delete the user and any posts made.

If you see a tread that needs to be killed just PM me.

What kind of success rate do these guys have? They are the modern door-to-door salesmen. What's the breaking point on doors to sales that makes it worth the trouble? It must be enough to keep it going - just like the Nigerian email scammers.
