I frequently see references to slideshows being irritating. As a person who has created many slideshows, I'm curious as to why people seem to despise slideshows so much. To me it's more convenient to click an arrow than to scroll down a page.

my opinion is that they don't work SMOOTHLY and quite often there are advertisement in between photos Sue !!

Too damn slow, too many ads. And some inflate their count by considering each picture viewed as a separate hit on their website.

Thanks for the answers. I've never made a slideshow with ads so that lets me out. Technically each image is a hit on the website whether it's in a slideshow or just displayed on a page. That's why one should never count hits when measuring their website traffic. Ya gotta count views, not hits.

RALPH! I spent so much time on those pictures and reading what was where....I've never been to Scotland but have a friend who grew up there, married an Air Force officer. Our kids are best friends. The older one married recently and took his bride to Scotland. I did see all the pictures they took and loved them.
