Confederate Flag stuff
Confederate Flag stuff
It's boring me to death but thought I'd start another thread just for fun to see how many we could have at one time.

Re: Confederate Flag stuff
My grandmother was a proud Daughter of the American Revolution and Daughter of the Confederacy. Heck, her maiden name was Bonnie Banner Kimzey. Her father was body guard to one of the Confederate generals. So it's clear that the blood of the south runs deep in our veins. Grandmother pushed for both Carol and me to be members of both groups. We never bothered because it wasn't our thing. My sister just said today "I love that flag. It's part of my heritage. But, if it makes a group of people feel better and more equal for the flag to go away, so be it." My sister is a wise woman. (She is also the grandmother of 4 Anglo and 2 African American kiddos and an NAACP member of some 50 years.) I feel the same way..........'cept I don't love that flag as she does. To us it's about loving our fellow person.
Working to love my fellow person regardless : >
