Believe me the liberals are doing the same thing. Several of my "friends" are rabid liberals. If all I could talk about was politics, which is like beating yourself in the head with a hammer - by choice, I think I'd look for ways to broaden my life.

You have just proven Croc's statement that you guys turn every thread into a political thread. My question was "Where's Library Lady?" Not "Gee, can we have another thread about how much y'all hate gay people and the government in general and how this country isn't what it used to be back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth?"

Croc is the one that made it political..which, by the way..makes no difference to me.

as far as attrition , seems to me new posters are being added , course , I'm not counting . I only respond to what interests me . As I said in different thread somewhere , Politics is one of the best 2 sports devised by man . And politics is pretty much what everyday life is made of since about 2000 , maybe longer. Politics is going to shape the future of this usa I am afraid .

There may be more activity but it is a very narrow group of the same old posters. I was hoping more of the old DDers would stay here.

I don't know how you get people to post that don't want to.

And don't forget, DD shrunk down in the last year or so as well, which is the reason Kevin finally shut it down.

Wasn't it costing him more and more as people went away?

Ya lose me on the sports. One of the few areas where I have zero interest. And I used to love UT and Cowboy football. Not anymore. So glad I married a non sports guy.
