...a story that just won't die!
WFAA reported last night and again at noon today that the "authorities" (whoever that is) are considering putting explosive charges into the crack on the cliff. It will only cost $150,000 to do so, and they are working out the plans.
The concern: the cliff will drop into the lake and put debris in the lake.
The solution: put explosives in the crack and blow the cliff into the lake.
W-H-A-T ????????????????????????????????????????? HOW is this better?
If they think the cliff will fall on a boater, how about this idea-----put a ring of buoys around the "danger" area.
The way the cliff crack is growing every day, nature may beat them to it (cliff falling in the lake).

I wonder how many other cracks the blast could open up?

Spend a few hundred bucks on buoys. Make up the money in fines.

Tonight's episode says the Corp of Engineers are thinking of putting large balloons in the crack and inflating until the soil tumbles into the lake.

Can you imagine being the owners of the house next door?

I imagine they have had some discussions with their builder.
Channel 8 was showing the video again this morning. They are going to keep this story alive as long as they can.
