Dinner Tonight?

Postby grouchy » Fri Jul 24, 2015 4:25 pm

I am the chef for the evening. Grilled salmon with bruschetta and baguette, and boiled shrimp. I will also possibly have a margarita swirl. Life is good!

Except for the salmon yours sounds very good.
Soon as Bob gets back home we'll have beer thirty. Dinner will be salad, hamburger patties, oven fries. I know oven fries aren't as crispy as real fried fries but they are much healthier so I try to pretend they are as good. :)
Working to love my fellow person regardless : >

Cold beer will be later with friends.

Bacon, tomato and cucumber sandwich with Duke's Mayonnaise and American cheese. Messy but wonderful! Love Duke's. Best I have ever tried. Just bought it a couple weeks ago. About ready to throw out the H brand but may just use it up on stuff like potato salad.

Have a pool party to go to at 8.30 tonight. Not sure what we will do for dinner.

I took a gamble and bought some rib eye steaks from the dollar tree. I heard they were small, but still a real deal. They look very thin so not sure what we will do with them.

We had tomatoes from the garden and bacon sandwich. I didn't buy any lettuce. I used one piece of bread, Steve used two. However, we did have strawberry shortcake again. Kroger had beautiful strawberries on sale. Since I don't like frozen strawberries, I wouldn't buy 4 for $5. Blueberries were 2 pints for $3. Steve loves them and I can't eat them. Those nasty sulfites! But they keep better than strawberries so I got them for Steve.

My mouth is watering here.

We are having moussaka and salad.
I love my salads...chop up white cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, basil, green apple, onion and cucumber. Mix in 2 parts olive oil to one part balsamic vinegar.
Not sure why we can never get a decent salad side dish when we are out....it takes 2 mins to concoct.
