I never drink shorts...maybe have a lager if I'm eating curry.

Please explain shorts? Is that in reference to a serving size?

Shorts = spirits.... brandy, scotch, gin, vodka etc usually served from an optic.

Thanks, Zelda...

As an aside, I had some Tennant's Ale at the British Pub at Epcot @ Walt Disney World. Absolutely fantastic; and apparently one of the only places you can get it in the USA...

My first choice would always be beer but I also like tequila and wine... but not together, LOL. I do NOT like whiskey. Rum drinks are okay.

That is one of the world's great beers.

Getting it on tap in a pub in Northern Ireland is an experience I will never forget.

Beer is my beverage of choice, DosEquis, Shiner, Guinness choice changes on season and location. Lights are consumed if free and I'll have a PBR for giggles.

100% agave Tequila, anejos or reposado there are some nice blancos. I don't drink margaritas very often, prefer to sip and enjoy
It's ok if you disagree with me.
I can't force you to be right.

Lovely summer drinks, and easy to make.
I love home made Sangria, only if the sun is out and it's a lazy sort of day though.

Mix port with Lemonade, add lots of ice and fresh fruit...a bit like Pimms really.

Speaking of summer drinks, I'm not a gin drinker but this recipe from Alton Brown is really good.

Cucumber Lemonade Gin Punch

Ingredients

4 whole lemons, halved
1/2 cup sugar
1 quart water
1 large cucumber, trimmed and sliced into rounds on a mandoline
24 ounces gin
Ice cubes

Directions

Juice the lemons and place the strained juice and the bodies into a large pot. Add the sugar to the pot and muddle with the lemon bodies and juice for 2 to 3 minutes. Remove the lemon bodies, add the water and stir until the sugar has dissolved.

Strain the mixture into a 3-quart glass container and add the cucumbers. Steep for 1 hour. Add the gin and stir to combine. Serve over ice.

Around the house/everyday beer - Miller lite
Restaurant/Bar (if on tap) - Guinness, Deep Ellum IPA, Stella Artois, Shiner

Wine - usually Italian reds, I do like some California whites - especially Chardonnay if really "oakie" flavored.

Liquor only occasionally, but when I do I like single-malt scotches from Isley, Kentucky bourbons, and pretty much any tequila. Lately, I've discovered a very "peaty" tasting Irish Whiskey by Connemara, it's smooth & yummy IMO.
Toto, we're not in Kansas anymore.

When I worked behind a bar a pink gin was about the easiest drink to make (we used Gordons)...the hardest (well it took the most practice) was getting a perfect pint of draught guinness just right without any waste.
