Only 2%? Not in our family. Although of us 3 children, I'm the only redhead. Now it's strawberry blond due to gray. But Grandmother, all aunts on my mom's side including my mom, had redhair. I have at least a dozen cousins with redhair and one son two granddaughters, but the son with red hair doesn't have any children.
