3B Joey Gallo hit an opposite-field homer (his 7th in Frisco, 28th overall) and pulled one for a double. Gallo has a very strong chance of leading both Myrtle Beach and Frisco in homers, and he has a lesser shot at the home run titles in both the Texas and Carolina Leagues. CF Ryan Strausborger hit his first AA homer and singled.

Alex Gonzalez (4.50 ERA) was hittable again, allowing eight in four innings that led to five runs. He walked none and struck out two. Wilmer Font pitched a scoreless, two-hit 7th with a fastball that dipped to 88, a far cry from his once-routine triple digits. Will Lamb fanned both batters he faced.

Ex-Ranger Mike Bianucci was 4-5 with a double and homer.
