Tried a Red bull once..yuck!

For me it's iced tea or diet coke.

As a certain former member of another discussion board would say - we're not in their demographic.

I had taken some of those "No Doze" back in my teens when I was working late and they made me jittery and grouchy so I was apprehensive about trying any of the newer energy drinks. Couple of years ago I was getting a little drowsy while driving through Tennessee and decided to try one of those 5-Hour Energy drinks and was pleasantly surprised. It gave me a little kick and woke me up without any side effects. They are small enough that you can just down it without being too worried about the taste, which was like Sprite without the carbonation if I recall correctly.

Those things scare me. There's that 5 Hour Energy Drink (or is it 4?) I drank once to keep myself awake during a slow time at my desk and thought I was going to jump out of my chair after I consumed it. I'm a friendly person by nature, but that stuff had me talking to perfect strangers, and when I came down off it, I was grouchy and anxious at the same time. Never again. I'll rely on coffee or tea.

I have gulped down sugar free Red Bull...helps in an emergency.
When granddaughter's boyfriend was 15 he drank numerous Monster during/after football practice. Had a heart attack. Fortunately he survived but is now on medicine. Scary stuff.
I like "Spark" by Avocare. Gives me energy and enables me to focus.

I drink three things: water, iced tea, and beer. That's it.

Isn't that like stepping on the brake and accelerator at the same time?

I'll drink on on occasions, but usually the sugar free ones. Not much more caffeine than a couple of cups of coffee, but in a more concentrated form. The regular ones have a ton of sugar and sodium in them though.

As odd as this may sound, I have found they help my night vision tremendously.

Never tried any of them. Have no plans to do so.

Never tried one. Don't need the sugar, the salt, or the calories that is in them.
