I cry "foul" on one recipe. It says to wrap the yam in aluminum foil--Don't think aluminum foil was on the covered wagons!

pretty much just fire or heat and whatever food you have . And i often hear grown people say that they don't know how to cook . I got my start at about 10 - 11 , as the oldest I was in charge of the house when my parents would go out to eat or go to a movie a couple times a year . I'd send the kids to bed after supper that Mom made and then I'd raid the freezer and get cooking . My parents would get home and DAD especially would have a plate or 2 of whatever simple dish I had made .
