They clinch the West tonight. It was really obvious to me that this is just one step, that they have bigger goals down the road. I like that mentality.

Glad to see that Hamels was a big part of it. His pitching wasn't stellar, but he got through it and actually looked better as the game went on.

In celebration the teachers at all 4 campuses down here get to wear jeans and a rangers shirt on Monday. Our superintendent is nuts for the rangers.

We'll just forget about Sunday's game.

Thank goodness the clinch isn't on the line tonight.

Argh Colby, was hoping he'd come out pitching with a bang.

Rangers sucked again. Isn't Perez supposed to be good at home?

Meanwhile there was a beaning war between our friends the Yankees and the Blow Jays.

Going to tomorrow's game. Haven't found out who's pitching yet.

Going into the playoffs, I think my mantra will be "Cole and Yu, then rain for two".

Yep they keep bringing Griffin out there and he keeps getting rung up. Wonder if he'll be on the playoff roster?

I'm going to the game tonight. I'll be the one panting for Hamels....

Went to the game last night. Nice win.. Wasn't sure the Rangers were going to pull that one out at the end. Thanks to Houston for releasing Gomez!!

Looks like it's going to be a four-man rotation: Hamels, Darvish, Lewis, Perez.

Sorry A.J. It was a good run, but you're not getting the job done right now.

I don't know if they will take him out of the rotation. I'm surprised they are still sending him out there. I guess with Lewis and Holland still having problems, the Rangers have been considering all their options still.

The four-man rotation puts Hamels back on the mound if there is a game 5.

Ok I saw the actual report that this is what they are doing with the rotation. Missed that earlier.

Red Sox lost yesterday. Rangers closer to having home field advantage all the way through the World Series.

I know some people want revenge against the Blue Jays. I don't want to give them a chance to do it again. So let's go Orioles.

Besides, games in Toronto are played in the afternoon.

I don't want to face the Blue Jays because they torch left-handed pitchers....and our best pitcher is left-handed.

Count me in the group that has no interest in seeing the Blue Jays in the playoffs.
