Rangers strike early, but fall to Astros in finale
Darvish tagged with rocky outing as Texas falls to last place in AL West
By Grace Raynor / MLB.com
ARLINGTON -- It's been nearly seven years since the Rangers reached a point when they were a daunting 15 games under .500.
That bleak past is now a reality again -- perhaps in worse form now, than ever before.
With an 8-4 loss to the Astros on Wednesday, the Rangers' .418 winning percentage is officially the lowest of all 30 Major League clubs. They dropped their fourth in a row and their 18th in 21 games to put them 15 games under .500 for the first time since Aug. 25, 2007. And with five consecutive losses in the season series, the Rangers now have their longest-ever losing streak against their in-state rivals.
"You don't expect the kind of things that happened to happen," Alex Rios said. "This is a season that I believe we're all going to remember. In a bad way."
Contrary to the previous nights against the Astros, the Rangers were the ones who took command of the game first this time. But in the end, it wouldn't matter.

Hey, SOMEbody's gotta be in last place.
If you’re “woke”..you’re a loser.

+1So we can call them the "Disastros".
Re: Last — I say LAST — place!
so the tremendous backups/prospects weren't exactly as great as they thought? Even if the starting pitchers were healthy, there was no bullpen and the starters (except Yu), were average at best. :/ That's why I said 81-81 out of spring training.

Let me be the first to say it:
8-8

CRAP! The NFL season is almost back again. Another season of Romo's fumbles and interceptions, Jerry telling everyone how much better the defense is this season and another no playoff game season. Typical Dallas football results. WOW, who can't look forward to that?

AAA: at Round Rock 4, Colorado Springs (COL) 12
SP Robbie Ross: 2.2 innings, 8 hits, 9 runs, 3 walks, 3 strikeouts, 10.54 ERA
I think, or at least hope, we've reached the nadir of Robbie Ross's professional career. Ross's only previous tribulation was his 2010 second-half promotion to high-A Bakersfield, where, in addition to having to spend the summer in Bakersfield, he was singled to death en route to a 5.37 ERA. Even there he produced his customarily fine peripherals.
