Transmission has started going out in my Jeep
The A/C went out in my old truck
The deck adjusting Rube Goldberg piece of crap thingy is screwed up on my Riding Lawn Mower
The priming bulb cracked on my self propelled mower
The don't make things like they used to.

I'm too lazy to retype, copied from the mothership before it disappears
I just spent about 4 hours replacing a garagedoor opener with the help of my son.
Old one had a screw drive and the clips holding it together were failing and the silly thing wouldn't always open or close.
Got the new one in using the existing safety beams and it doesn't work.
Wire was broken in the safety beams and kinda made contact.
$170 out the window when I could have fixed it for nothing

It's ok if you disagree with me.

Fixed a similar issue with our garage door opener last month. It quit working; started troubleshooting, and I noticed one of the safety beams was not lit. It had a broken wire at the connection to the beam box. I was hoping for something simple like that...

Well I have the Rube Goldberg POS on the JD Lawn Tractor fixed. I appears that some how the S-I-L #2 bent the $/(@" out of it when he mowed the yard last week !
He means well by I swear he could tear up a chrome plates cannon ball with a rubber hammer !

spring cleaning around the yard is pretty expensive here too.....
something always broke.
everything needs an oil change.
takes me a week to get ready for the actual work

The lights would stay on when I went and looked at the safety beams, of course I never watched them while operating the door. Wire would lose contact when the door was being operated, because of the vibration in the door track
