I like Manny's in Addison but I don't get over there much. El Rancho Grande is great. I like Joe T's nachos. For a good oil change I love the Mexican Inn.
We go to Chuy's some. Because it's close and decent.
When in Austin I like Serrano's and Trudy's.
San Antonio I like Perico's.

Taco Bell was pretty good food 40 years ago, but it doesn't even qualify as pig slop these days.

I really enjoyed The Alamo by Town East 25 years ago, but I guess that place didn't survive.
30 years ago, I liked Ninfa's at Stemmons and Inwood, but I have no idea what it's like now.
We've tried the new El Fenix in Greenville a couple of times lately, but it wasn't as good as what I remember the original El Fenix being.
Locally, Don Lalo's is our best place.
For fast Mexican food, nobody can touch Taca Casa. I had it for lunch in Paris today.

I will occasionally pick up Taco Bell because my girls like it, but I don't really consider it Mexican food. The best take out Mexican food near me is Don Juan's Romantic Mexican Food in Grand Prairie. It's been there a long time and about as Gringo as it gets.

I love that name. Don Juan's Romantic Mexican Food. LOL! I'm in Arlington, gonna have to try it.
Eat a bunch of frijoles and get romantic.

Well I guess mine are Tex-Mex
As far a eating places, too many list.
The best ones have a gravel parking lot and bail bondsman cards by the cash register.

Wife & I like Mexican Inn. She wants to go to Mercado Juarez (I think) for her birthday this weekend. Not necessarily an endorsement, but a new Pancho's opened a few months ago on Rufe Snow, north of Loop 820.
I feel like I'm parked diagonally in a parallel universe.

One of my current favorites is the Gorditas at Isebella's Cafe.

Anna's in Colleyville. It replaced Reposado's, which used to be our band's "home". Reposado's had good food, but Anna's is better. It's Guatemalan/Salvadoran/Mexican.

It's on Main Street in the old section of Grand Prairie. You can eat inside and use the drive through.
