Blue star topaz

Postby LibraryLady » Sat May 31, 2014 4:27 pm

In case you didn't know, the blue star topaz is the Texas state gemstone.
I think the stone is beautiful

I was reminded of it when we watched this episode of Daytripper.
http://thedaytripper.com/daytrip/mason-tx/

Years ago we visited Mason and went to the shop where the man keeps the largest one known to exist and he showed it to us.
It is some stone!!

Now, I want a necklace and earrings made with the blue star topaz.

I agree. Those are pretty! We saw that Daytripper, too. I'd love to visit Mason.

I'd be good with a yellow rose-cut diamond, too.

Wife and daughter have a good relationship with a rock/gem shop in Llano; next time we are there, I'll look for this.

And now for an attempt at humor...

Surprised that this is not the official gemstone of the Dallas Cowboys....

My dad owns a small ranch outside of Mason. I have a beautiful necklace made with a pretty large Texas topaz that was mined on the ranch next door to my dad's. It has a Texas star cut into it. The man who cut the star passed away a couple of years ago, but I think someone has taken over his shop on the square in mason. I haven't had time to go to mason in a couple of years. Dad's getting old... I need to go more often. It's beautiful country!

And....My grandson will be named Mason.

I so want a ring, necklace and earrings of blue star topaz.

Ever so often, some people confuse the blue star topaz with aquamarine, which is my birthstone.

Trixie, looks like you and I are due for a trip to Mason.

Husband wants to visit Brady so I just might be able to manage it this year.

I would live to head that way sometime.
