Did I hear 15 strikeouts?

A slump is inevitable. And we're still a month away from August.

Great news is that the Rangers get to play the Twins for 7 games before the All Star Break. I hope they can take advantage of that.

In a 162-game season, every team has at least one slump.

Apparently, everyone else in the American League sucks worse.

They break the little losing streak in Boston and I enjoy it greatly. Moron Joe West was the ump behind the plate for this one, and now they are something like 2-8 when he calls balls and strikes in Ranger games.

Didn't see the entire game, but pitching apparently was better yesterday. How did Tolly look?

Sorry I didn't have time to answer because work was hectic. Tolly looks much better now.

So the Rangers only have two players in the All Star game with only Desmond to start? Does that sound right?

Unless one of the starters elected by the fans opts out of the game, the Rangers don't have any starters. Desmond was named by Ned Yost as a reserve and Hamels was named to the pitching staff.

The starting outfield (elected by the fans) is Mookie Betts, Mike Trout, and Jackie Bradley, Jr.

Ok I missed that. I guess we didn't have enough fans to vote ours in or we didn't vote enough. To be honest, I didn't vote. I don't watch that game anyway...but I will still gripe here about it.

Three more days, then we get the ASB. Then the bullpen can get rested, and then we get Darvish and Kela back when play resumes next weekend.

As awful as the past week has seemed, the Rangers went 4-6 on a tough road trip to New York, Minnesota, and Boston. That's not horrible for 10 days on the road. The Rangers set the bar pretty high in June, and we got a little spoiled by them.

Things will turn around soon enough.

Gosh I hope so....it's been brutal the last week or so. The radio guys think the Rangers kind of got thrown off after that strange late night game in NY.

I hope Darvish can come back and pitch for the rest of the season this time.

Losing his last start is the one that really hurt on the road trip. If not for that, it would have been a 5-5 trip.
