Hamels is the only starting pitcher who has been able to get a win for the last month.

And My Main Man Mitch has gotten on track and is crushing the ball. He's a beast when he hits his streaks.

Just checking in to point out that the Rangers are only 6 outs away from a 4 game sweep of the defending World Series champion Royals...

No better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than watching a Rangers win. At home. Under the air conditioning.

Darn, missed Sunday's game. I was very busy and tend to forget about day games too.

The game will be replayed on FSSW at 11am.

I'm sure they won't mind me watching here in my office. I'll just wait for the next game. Hopefully the Rangers are on a hot streak.

Never heard of Lucas Harrell.

Came up with the Astros.

I looked it up later and saw that. Should that make me feel better about the Rangers pitching now?

You could argue the Rangers beefed up their offense because they don't trust the pitching staff to hold a one-run lead.

And found a better catcher to make the pitching staff look a bit better.

Defensively, Robinson Chirinos is very good. Lucroy adds significant offense, though. The Rangers now have a scary lineup, with one dangerous hitter after another. Rangers already are leading the majors in homers since the All-Star break, and added two more power bats. If these guys fit in, it's pretty darn exciting.

Darvish is pitching tonight. I hope he can return to form for the rest of the season.

You should feel better because he is much better than Kyle Lohse or Nick Martinez....and he didn't cost anything.

So far this season, the Rangers have either the best or second-best one-run record in the majors in the last 100 years. It was second-best, but they have won a couple more one-run games since then. Some are due to offense, some are due to pitching/defense.

Biggie, I thought you were kidding when you said that this team sucks, but I'm starting to think you were serious. This may wind up being the best Rangers team ever. FWIW, the MLB Power Rankings now have the Rangers at #1 in all of baseball. Anything can happen in the playoff, of course (like the 116-win Mariners losing the ALCS in 2001), but this Rangers team is excellent.

Don't bet the ranch on serious.
