We live in an area that is still a little rural. All our kids only have cells and a cell to cell call isn't the best. I usually ask them to call the house phone if I'm going to be home. I can hear the house phone ringing upstairs, downstairs, and out on the patio and have a clearer connection.

I remember you said you visit a relative in Rhode Island..do you live there now?

Yes, they were the only internet provider with cable out here in our rather rural area. It used to be classicnet many years ago. It was classicnet or dial up and of course we chose cable. They've been a great company to deal with and I'm loyal. The phone deal they offered was a flat $25 a month for coverage all over the USA, no contract, and life time guarantee of no rate increases. We have DIRECT for TVs.
