Romney will run

I'm not sure how much importance the voters place on religious beliefs anymore. I seem to remember reading there was a great deal of controversy about Kennedy being a Catholic and whether he would vote whatever the Pope told him to vote or be his own man. We also just reelected someone who was a member of a church led by a vehemently racist preacher.

I think it would depend on what religion we're talking about.
I wouldn't vote for a Branch Davidian, Muslim, Heaven's Gatist or a member of Jim Jones' Temple.
I think they have ideas that would affect the way they ran a government.

I voted for Romney before and would feel very good about voting for him again. I respect the Mormons. I wouldn't convert, but after spending time in Salt Lake City, I admire them. I have no doubt they are Christians. I can't help but think what our country would be if he did win the presidency. I know the stupid mistakes of the present regime would not have happened. He IS a very good business man, has run large companies, and managed many employees in an honorable manner. I guess it boils down to the word "honorable". I have relatives in Ohio and Pennsylvania who swore there was a lot of fraud going on during the last election. I know for certain there was in Obama's first run in Ohio. Our friends young daughter and her husband went to a rally and offered to house one of the operatives in their home. That operative was from New York and he registered to vote using their address. They did blow the whistle but nothing was done officially. They're pretty sure his vote counted.
