The liberal Washington Post editorial board has taken a sledgehammer to Commiela's idiotic proposals:

The Washington Post editorial board rejected Vice President Kamala Harris' economic proposals, telling readers instead of offering a substantive plan, she "squandered the moment on populist gimmicks."

In a scathing piece published Friday, the Post editorial board accused Harris of being "less forthright" with voters about the reasons why prices remain high despite the cooling rate of inflation by "blaming big business."

"Ms. Harris says she’ll target companies that make ‘excessive’ profits, whatever that means," the editorial board scoffed. "Thankfully, this gambit by Ms. Harris has been met with almost instant skepticism, with many critics citing President Richard M. Nixon’s failed price controls from the 1970s. Whether the Harris proposal wins over voters remains to be seen, but if sound economic analysis still matters, it won’t."

Harris is an idiot, and much of what comes out of her wordhole is rubbish.

I'm expecting the NY Times editorial board to proclaim her the greatest thing since sliced bread some time before the election.

I've kept my mouth shut about a personal interest in price gouging.

I make holistic products for pain relief and skin care and sell them, more of a hobby than a make money thing.

But I do make a couple of bucks.

One of my best sellers is a deep relief pain cream.

Since the shutdown the shows where we sell have pretty much disappeared, but they are coming back.

The above product uses an oil that has doubled in price since 2021.

It also takes a full week to make.

Of the folks that still contact us to buy usually buy in multiples to keep the price of shipping lower, shipping is up as well as everything involved.

Since I don't have to pay myself labor is low.

It has now reached a point where parts, shipping, containers, energy, every cost has increased to the point I have to quit making it, I can't seem to bring myself to sell something at a loss.

I realize that price gouging is not what raised prices.

Since I know the stuff works , my customers tell me it works.

I want to continue to make it for them, so I have to raise the price.

Kamalas plan is not the answer, reducing cost to producers is.
It's a joke son,I say a joke

If the Cackler is really serious about lowering prices in stores, there are two things she can do as president:

1. Quit spending money.

2. Quit printing money.

Every other nonsensical thing she proposes will only make matter worse.
